White Widow became internationally known after its success at the 1995 High Times Cannabis Cup. Its Brazilian × South Indian background is associated with dense, heavily resinous flowers and a classic profile that can range through earthy, woody, spicy, and slightly sweet notes. White Widow went on to become an important breeding plant behind countless hybrids and remains one of the defining genetics of the 1990s Dutch seed era.
Jack the Ripper was bred by Subcool from Jack’s Cleaner P1 × Space Queen. The line became known for pronounced lemon and citrus aromas, heavy resin production, Haze influence, and additional notes that can move toward mango, pine, and spice. Subcool selected Jack the Ripper as part of his work with Jack’s Cleaner, with the Space Queen side adding sweetness and additional complexity.
